Alisha Liston is a 15-year old singer, songwriter, actress and circus artist based in Southern California. She released her first EP titled, ‘Beautiful Illusion,’ in August of 2021, and is currently working on her first album ‘Dreamland.’ Her music centers around reminding us that our struggles are an important part of our journey and ourselves. Alisha hopes for her music to bring to others a voice of comfort and encouragement, and to provide a sense of unconditional love and belonging.

Alisha’s love for exploring abstract fantastical motifs and her signature whimsically vivid lyrics make her music an otherworldly experience. She adores embracing the strange and fantastical in her work; using whimsical metaphors as storytelling components to visualize emotions and connect with their audience at a vulnerable level. Alisha’s love for exploring abstract fantastical motifs and her signature whimsically vivid lyrics make her music an otherworldly experience. Her writing style revolves around creating detailed wonderlands and enchanted characters; using fictional metaphors as storytelling components to visualize emotions. Alisha has been described as a “vocal etherealist” due to her gentle emotional delivery, adding to the wondrous illusion. She adores embracing the strange, unusual, and extraordinary in her work. She journals her growth through melodic poems and surreal metaphors, reminding us that our struggles are an important part of our journey and ourselves, as difficult as they may be. Alisha hopes for her music to bring comfort and encouragement, and above all, provide a sense of unconditional love and belonging.
In addition to music, Alisha loves circus arts. She began working on silks (aerial tissu) at age 9. Since then, Alisha has performed at least a dozen venues throughout Southern California. She’s also began expanding her knowledge in working with other apparatuses, including trapeze, rope (corde lisse), and unicycle.
On the acting front, Alisha’s career began at age 5. Since then she has performed in many projects including over 10 theater productions. She’s co-starred on Nickelodeon’s Danger Force, played Simone in the Lifetime Movie, Killer Reputation; Olive in Solve; Sofia in Aubergine; voices Zoey, the ambulance in Super Wings!; and has appeared in numerous national commercials including the 2023 Xfinity Super Bowl commercial.
Off stage – if there is such a thing – Alisha enjoys spending time with friends and family, developing new characters for fantasy stories and cosplaying. She adores cartoons and takes pride in recreating her favorite characters from various fandoms; her favorite is Luz Noceda from ‘The Owl House’.

When an unknown debilitating disease takes a hold of the Elyswth kingdom, Lux ventures out in hopes to find a cure. However, Lux must confront their past memories to succeed in their quest.
Alisha’s latest release and 7th song in her upcoming album, ‘Dreamland’, a collection of songs that tells the story of a search for hope. When an unknown debilitating disease takes a hold of the Elyswth kingdom, Lux ventures out in hopes to find a cure. However, Lux must confront their past memories to succeed in their quest.
The story itself is a metaphor, and the disease a symbol of parasitical emotions like anxiety and depression that can become so overwhelming it’s difficult to function. Yet, step by step the journey to recovery begins.
Stardew Forest
Stardew Forest is a whimsically fantastical song with an Alice in Wonderland vibe about self discovery and realization. It’s about knowing it’s okay to not have all the answers and to take things one step at a time.
Stardew Forest is a whimsically fantastical song with an Alice in Wonderland vibe. It was inspired by a character I developed who was forced to face her emotions that she’s been running from. Unable to escape, my character is trapped in this wondrous, yet terrifying world of self discovery and realization. Through her experiences she realizes its okay to not always understand and be afraid of your thoughts. It’s ok to not have all the answers and to take things one step at a time.

Beautiful Illusion is the title of Alisha’s first EP (‘extended play record’). The collections of songs are about perseverance, growth and healing. They reach down into the hearts of the hurting with messages of hope and understanding.
Beautiful Illusion reminds us that our struggles are an important part of our journey, and that it is okay to hurt sometimes. It also reminds us that those struggles won’t last forever. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, even if you can’t see it in that moment; and, when you get there, which you will eventually do, you will be have grown and become stronger.
The EP itself consists of six (6) songs, plus a bonus instrumental track. They are all very different in tempo and style. Some are acoustic ballads, whiles others are fast-paced dance beats. Together, they tell a story of the struggle and hope of the beautiful illusion.

Hourglass
First released on May 7, 2021, Hourglass is a song about perseverance and healing. It speaks to the emotional pain someone goes through after a traumatic event, and it reminds us that healing takes time, and eventually the storm will pass.
Yellow Rose
Yellow Rose is a melancholic song written in hopes to comfort those that are hurting, when everyone around them just wants them to be okay. Reality is sometimes we hurt, and that’s okay. It’s part of what makes us human.
Paint On A Cloud
Paint On A Cloud was initially released on July 16, 2021. It is a blissful song that alternates between hopeful and melancholic moods. It’s about self-discovery and letting go of things that are toxic such as an unhealthy relationship or emotional state. It is meant to encourage its listeners to let go of the negative influences even if you don’t have all the answers up front. Because each step helps you to find those answers and brings you closer to the you, you were meant to be.
Distorted Reality
Distorted Reality is a melancholic song about emotional extremes. It connects with its audience at a deep emotional level melodically and lyrically, in hopes, to bring its listeners consciousness to the blindfold of spiraling unconscious negativity, so that, when it happens they are aware of it, and better equip to put on the brakes.
Whose Definition
Initially release on June 11, 2021, Whose Definition fun fast-paced song with an Avril Lavigne vibe. It is about unrealistic social/physical standards. It reminds us about the dangers of getting caught up in the vicious cycle of trying to conform to unrealistic ideals, and that there is no single standard. We’re all different, and we are all beautiful.
Beautiful Soldier
Beautiful Soldier is an emotional, yet empowering song dedicated to all those who are going through tough times. It reminds us that those difficult times are what made us stronger, it helps us build character and define who we are. It reminds us that our journey, as difficult as it may be, may be the inspiration someone else needs to help them rise up and persevere.
Static Record
Static Record is a fun, upbeat experimental instrumental track. Stereo and/or headphones recommended.
