Alisha Liston is a teenage singer, songwriter, actress and circus artist based in Southern California. She released her first EP titled, ‘Beautiful Illusion,’ in August of 2021, and her first album, ‘Dreamland’ in May 2024. Her music centers around reminding us that our struggles are an important part of our journey and ourselves. With over 1 million streams on Spotify, Alisha hopes her music brings to others a voice of comfort and encouragement and provides a sense of unconditional love and belonging.

Alisha has been described as a “vocal etherealist” due to her gentle emotional delivery, adding to the wondrous illusion. She adores embracing the strange, unusual, and extraordinary in her work. She journals her growth through melodic poems and surreal metaphors, reminding us that our struggles are an important part of our journey and ourselves, as difficult as they may be.

In addition to music, Alisha loves circus arts. She began working on silks (aerial tissue) at age 9. Since then, Alisha has performed at least a dozen different venues throughout Southern California, and recently competed in silks, dance trapeze and cube at Viva Fest in Las Vegas, NV.
On the acting front, Alisha’s career began at age 5. Since then she has performed in many projects including over 10 theater productions, She’s co-starred on Nickelodeon’s Danger Force, played Simone in the Lifetime Movie, Killer Reputation; Olive in Solve; Sofia in Aubergine; voices Zoey, the ambulance in Super Wings!; and has appeared in numerous national commercials including the 2023 Xfinity Super Bowl Commercial.
Off stage – if there is such a thing – Alisha enjoys spending time with friends and family, developing new characters for fantasy stories and cosplaying. She adores cartoons and takes pride in recreating her favorite characters from various fandoms; her favorite is Luz Noceda from ‘The Owl House’.

Dreamland
ABOUT
This collection of twelve (12) songs and additional bonus tracks tells the story of Lux; a weary child from the Elyswth kingdom. The story begins when Elyswth is devastated by an unknown debilitating disease.
Desperate to find an antidote for both themselves and their kingdom, the little wanderer ventures outside their crumbling motherland and stumbles into this otherworldly terrain they’ve documented as “Dreamland.” Captivated by its alluring creatures and flora, Lux almost forgets they’re dying. It isn’t until Lux realizes they need to face the root cause of their disease before they are led to a cure that can truly heal them.
The story of Dreamland is a metaphor, with the disease being an allegory for parasitical emotions we all struggle with. Each song utilizes fantastical metaphors to symbolize phases of healing. The album provides a voice to teenagers struggling with mental health, uniting our youth through a safe space to explore mental health-related concepts.
Beautiful Illusion
ABOUT
Beautiful Illusion is the title of Alisha’s first EP (‘extended play record’). The collections of songs are about perseverance, growth and healing. They reach down into the hearts of the hurting with messages of hope and understanding.
Beautiful Illusion reminds us that our struggles are an important part of our journey, and that it is okay to hurt sometimes. It also reminds us that those struggles won’t last forever. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, even if you can’t see it in that moment; and, when you get there, which you will eventually do, you will be have grown and become stronger.
The EP itself consists of six (6) songs, plus a bonus instrumental track. They are all very different in tempo and style. Some are acoustic ballads, whiles others are fast-paced dance beats. Together, they tell a story of the struggle and hope of the beautiful illusion.
